Hello all,

My name is Stuart and I'm a diceaholic.

I used to be an avid roleplayer until I moved down from Scotland to Leicester, where after dallying with the DMU gamesoc for a short while I gave up. I'm looking to get back into roleplaying - in fact I'd love to DM or play in a Greyhawk campaign again.

I was a big D&D 3/3.5 player, in fact I was a Triad member for the Living Greyhawk campaign once upon a time, though I've also played numerous other systems like Cthulhu, 7th Sea, Traveller, Riddle of Steel, Rolemaster and so on.

I'm looking for either a one-off session outside of Leicester, or a possibility of a regular game in Leicester to dip my toes back into roleplaying again.

Well Stuart, I can't recommend strongly enough looking at attending the February Big Meet in Derby. You can't beat it as a way of meeting folks. There are actually a couple of Leicester games that are likely to restart fairly soon.
Lots of people prefer to game with people they have met rather than risking people they may or may not get on with. Which brings us right back to the purpose of the Big Meets.

However I will add that if you don't mind playing or gm'ing you are perhaps more likely to get some gaming going more quickly by running a game. There are plenty of gamers in the area, some ongoing games some lurkers who are generally open to the idea of another game. So get along to the big meet to get a foot in the door, meet some folks and take it from there. There are a few public Venues around Leicester that are/have been used by the group if you need one.
