Dear Members,
Calendar cock-up.
I would like to apologise for the absence of a Big Meet event for January.
Although the "post the monthly Big Meet event" thing is not formally assigned to anyone, you may have noticed that humble me has repeatedly volunteered to do so of late.
As mentioned by Adam on the 7th Sea thread my Christmas holidays have not gone as planned at all.
The last two weeks before my break were a bit hectic, so I never got to set up the event.
The plan was to set-up said Big Meet calendar events, and prepare a game to run, the week before Christmas.
This perfectly laid plan got disrupted by my visiting Heathrow Terminal 4 and enjoying talking to the Delta Airlines staff for four days (insert sarcasm), then hunting for my luggage once in Rochester (NY state), battling a nasty cold, seeing my planned visit of New York city cancelled due to extremely bad weather, then on the way back spending nearly five hours in a National Express coach from London Heathrow back to Nott'm, just to realise that a water pipe had burst in the flat two floors above mine once I arrived home...
Needless to say that for all the gaming and socialising joy EMRPGG is procuring me, setting-up the Big Meet events and getting ready for it has not exactly been at the top of my concerns lately.
Is there a January Big Meet?
Honestly I do not know.
I know that I will not be going, thus not running The Hollow's Chronicles. I have a flat to clean, stuff to move around for my landlord to sort out the water damage, or in other words cope with the joy of handling the aftermath of a burst pipe event.
A quick look at the site over the Christmas break shows very little activity in the forums, and nobody talking about running anything at the January Big Meet.
Unless somebody comes up with something (running a game, bringing board games, etc) within the next few days, I believe there will be no January Big Meet.
The fact that the second Saturday of the year falls that early is not helping either.

Adam will not be there either to run 7th Sea Adventures.
