Bandaluthia (again and still)

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

I am proud to be a player in this game, and wish to see its history preserved. In order that a fuller history exists, I have ported the text of previous posts on the old Meetup forum here. I have taken the liberty of reinstating my name into my own posts as A former member is an affront which I no longer have to tolerate.
I do not have the time to port all images and other features used in the original forum, but the essence is here.

The Previous history of this game discussion.

Now, about this key.

So, comrades. On Thursday you are going to be playing the newest characters and I'll not be there. Are you going to miss Sylvie?

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

Of course we will miss her, the little madam. Mike won't let us hit while you aren't there even if we tried. wink

Pandora has nothing specific against Sylvie. Its not like she is a paladin of St Cuthbert or anything deserving of contempt, just an elf dragged out of the trees, with an inflated ego. Those are two a penny.

I promised Leah that I would not let Shaniqua or Lupa die in her absence. I promised Richard the same with Orc. I have made no promises to Bruce of such an ilk.

Feel free to try and kill whomever you please.twisted

Session 60 is up.biggrin
Session 59 is still outstanding.neutral

A great write up, thanks Len.

I think next week we will be short of Leah, so we will press on with the newbies, unless someone wants another set of characters?

So you rescued her ... Fantastic moral dilemma Michael, seeng as you all hate her and she's a bitch.

I'm almost glad I wasn't there, but not quite.

So, where's the half-breed elf? Washing her hair, or crying over her horse?

Sylvie

Perhaps she no longer wishes to put with racist and biggoted views? Perhaps she would have let you hang? Perhaps she would have volunteered to do the whipping for the executioneer?

biggrin

Sorry guys :-(
Three weeks its going to be. Three weeks without me at the table. Unfortunately, aside from just feeling crappy and ill the past couple of days, next week is something I can't help. *whimper*
So it will be week after that I'm back. Hope you're all behaving yourselves though! :P

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

I think I have just about got the Bandaluthia stuff broght across.
Bar Qu at the moment, that was a low priority page, but will come across eventually I hope.
The way this site works makes doing things like THIS:

Quite a doddle.
It also makes adding in pages into the structure automatic if you do it right.
For example, to add in a new third wave page.

  • Click on third wave, You'll see the ability to add in a new child page.
  • Give it a name, and you are starting your new character page.

All references to the third wave animals will automatically contain the new character.

Renaming a page (for those with the rights) also rewrites all the links to it in the whole site automatically.

Hi Comrade,

Nice job. I'll sort (is it 59?) when I get a minute. I'm not sure I want to put all of Sylvie up on the boards, since she's complex and layered. One of the good guys really, who is misunderstood. But, if I put that up it would include information the rest don't know. And, what you don't know means you can't inadvertantly act on what you can't possibly know. I will include a small summary however.

France was great. Jambon.

Bruce

(p.s. is there any way I can get these pages arranged so the new posts appear at the top, rather than having to scroll down?)

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

The idea of keeping some of Sylvie secret is perfectly in keeping with the spirit of her. Complex and layered?

So basically, she peels back a layer, letting us see a little of her inner-self, like an onion. The stinging sensation in the eyes and the pungent smell means everyone cries, and when you have got used to the pain, there is always more underneath to make everyone cry again later. Great!wink

At least Coolio is just a troubled young man.confused

As for the forum posts. We are working on improvements. In theory you do have the ability to control it yourself. But on longer threads, like we have, it does not properly respond to the settings.

Hi All,

59 is up. Quite good I think.

Holidaymakers, Students and Workers,

61 is up. Again, I'm quite pleased with it. We're up-to-date.

Bruce

p.s. mobile phone has died.

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

A couple of potentially important oversights. Again perfectly in keeping with Sylvie.

After the first explosion, Kharkin and Pandora came round first, and this has significant implications to Pandora's realisation that she "has the curse" as she will call it. Kharkin already knows he has this regeneration thing going on when in contact with stone. But this is all very new to Pandora, who used to think "The Curse" was a kind of Tiefling fairy tale, and she was just a "quick healer".

PS, I don 't know your number, so I don't care.razz

Hi Len,

Stick a paragraph in ... It's difficult for me to recall all the detail, but you're right, these are important events.

See you tonight.

Bruce

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

I did some revision, and stuck Mike's logo in too. (Don't upset the DM, he designed it himself.)

Hope the additions are in keeping. I too glossed over the trip from the reef to the shore. It was not hard really. All you had to do was swim. Some people can't manage simple tasks.

Len

It seems that the more simple of tasks like swimming and climbing provide the most challenging of the perils you face. Devils seem to offer no problems. All my well worked out scenarios offer little to test you, a 100 foot cliff on the other hand! A 100 yard swim in a 10ft deep stretch of water? Ridiculously tough!

It does make for great comedy!

Len posts: 1095 United Kingdom

A swim AND a cliff to climb? eek

At no time while swimming from the reef to the shore did Pandora fall off a cliff. Nor did any of the others, but mostly that was due to you not including a cliff in the scenario. Had there been a swim followed by having to climb a cliff, I think we would have known it was an impossible TPK scenario.

A grand idea Len! Put both in.... mmmm! I would need to trawl through monster manuals 1-5 then would I?

Hope I roll some deep fried squid later! Mmmmm, calamari!
