Sorry to hear about that.
Our sort-of-weekly board-game event at Vague Connections in Nottingham, allegedly interspersed every now and then with a session of "an RPG game-system we never play but let's have a go at it" attracts three to four regulars plus the odd "non-core" player.
To be fair we cheat in the sense that it is mainly our two regular RPG gaming groups that masquerade as the Monday board-game group.
Although our thread seems to only feature my humble self; I guess it gets read by curious members. What we usually do is decide what game we will be playing the next session. Certainty may attract customers.
Of course, it could all be down to my personal charm!
