Brute gives me my weapon critical multiplier (3 for a Greataxe) as additional damage on a critical threat (no need for critical hit), but this extra damage is not multiplied for a critical hit.
I have noticed that a Barbarian "Breaker" cannot really be played as a breaker until LV3, when one can get a second feat because Improved Sunder requires Power Attack, so all non-human "Breakers" need be patient or create attacks of opportunity. Never mind I say, because Makoa is going to do a LOT of damage.
While raging, with Power Attack, we are talking 1D12+9 at LV1, on a critical threat, the damage goes up to 1D12+12.
The +2 went to CON for 18 HP while raging at LV1.
Makoa is a follower of Lamashtu (but CN and not CE, although as close to CE as one can be without actually being), he is intelligent enough (INT 13) but devotes this intelligence to ensure he can dish out as much pain as possible. He speaks Common, Orc and Gnoll. His devotion to the Mother of Monsters makes him lust about anything that is female and humanoid, hence his special attraction to female Gnolls, who tend to end up dead due to his weird fantasies.
He works at the slave markets and just enjoy going after slaves who dare run away. He is fond of recalling the story when he smashed a door to a hovel with such force that the makeshift building collapsed on a couple of escaped slaves. His life is motivated by the acquisition of wealth, crushing things and roughing up humanoid females of all kinds. Makoa is a beast with enough brains (INT more than 10) to become extremely dangerous. In combat, he rages as much as he can and always use Power Attack unless his grasp of statistics tells him "Never gonna hit mate!". During combat, especially while raging, he will never stop to heal a team-mate if he can carry on fighting, even if he is himself below 0 HP and using his one round of ferocity.
He prepares his rope gauntlets (LoF PG) every day in case he needs some bludgeoning apparatus and carries five wooden stakes (APG) in case there is a need for piercing damage or close range (10 ft) thrown weapons.
As long as the party does not have a female Paladin to lead it, Makoa is willing to join pretty much any group of adventurers. If there is a female Paladin present, she had better get through his 18HP (when raging) before he rolls a 20 and hits her for that 1D12+12.
Legacy of Fire
Ian,
All right Makoa is ready to use his greataxe.
I have taken the following traits:
