Why can't you just call a Platonic solid a Platonic solid and have done with it Laurent.
If you French purists had your way I'm sure we would all be forced to use Icosahedral 2x10 dice that are easily mistaken for D20s instead of the nice Trapezohedron D10 exceptions to the Platonic Solids.
