Hello everyone

I once played quite a lot of D&D, MERP and quite a few others that briefly flourished back in the glory days. But I am ashamed to that I havent really involved myself in anything much beyond the complexity of monopoly since. redface

I was retro-gaming on my laptop recently due to an extremely underwhelming graphics card and happened upon the THAC0-tastic Baldur's Gate 2, which I'm sure you will all know tries its best to follow the AD&D 2E rules. A gripping game and lots of fun, especially in multiplayer if anyone is interested in such things.

Anyway, traipsing around a pixelated Athkatla seems to have stirred something within, so to speak, and I found myself wondering if there were any RPG groups in the area and hence I stumbled upon this place.

So, greetings to you, East Midlands RPG-ers! I am a somewhat rusty player, who's most recent rulebook dates from 1989, with a penchant for clerics (do they still have those?) and LE13 postcode. I am looking to find out a bit more about your fabulous group here, with a view to joining a game in either the Melton Mowbray or Leicester Area.

I read that you meet up once a month at a pub, but not quite sure where this is or what time it would be best to rock up. Does one wear a carnation or maybe a hat at a jaunty angle to identify oneself as a possible new recruit? (or is it very very obvious??)
