You will probably not get a better chance to try things out. You do not need to bring anything with you people are happy to share their supplies with you. As we are in a pub money is advisable, but prices are reasonable and the food is very very good.
There are always more games than needed, but this just means that there is a good choice and then the games that people want to play get played.
