Selling stuff

Orcwart posts: 10

Hi, all

I'm offloading a load of 3.x D&D, Pathfinder and Dark Heresy stuff and wondered if anyone here would be interested before I post them on Gumtree. I'm looking to sell as job-lots because selling separately is a pain and I just don't want lingering editions taking up space on my bookshelf.

My reason for selling is because I know for certain I just won't play these games again. I've revisited old school and to be honest I'm happier there because I just don't have to remember as much stuff with them as I need to for modern games, which this 42 year old finds hard to do!

Also, if anyone is interested, I have Dungeon Magazine issues to give away for free to whichever buyer wants them - just can't be arsed to list them.

I'm not sure if I'm breaking any forum rules by putting an ad here so please let me know if I am and of course remove the post. It would be nice if you let me know you've done so. :-)

So without further ado here is my stuff...click the link to see them.

This is all in vgc. £50 for the lot.

Dark Heresy

Pathfinder stuff. £50 for the lot. This is all in excellent condition. I think I unfolded the maps once. The Bestiary hasn't even been opened for longer than a brief read.

PF stuff

Are here is my 3.X D&D collection. I'm only looking for £100 for the lot. I've had to do three pics to get it all in.

For info, my name and address is written on the inside of the core books but that is in pencil.

Also, The Hordes of Abyss is signed by Erik Mona and James Jacobs.

All books are in excellent condition except for The Shackled City and that is only because it got a lot of play.

BTW, The Greyhawk Gazetteers have their maps missing, but the Living Greyhawk edition has a full sized A2 map of Greyhawk which I have laminated.

One more thing to add: Floor tiles

I can't offer to take anything off your hands myself because I lean towards old school games myself, but there is a pretty active group for buying and selling RPG stuff on facebook here which might be of interest?

Thanks for the reply. I've now sold them to the admin of that site. He drove all the way here from Portsmouth!!!

I guess he knew he was getting a good deal. I just didn't want the hassle of selling books separately. I could have made a little more, but to be honest I'd be spending a lot of time doing it and that's time I don't have. :-)

Glad it worked out for you! I was sceptical when I first joined that group but it seems better than buying and selling via ebay, I've just picked up an immaculate Hollow World boxed set for not very much money.

Hope your game is going well?

I ended up not joining the group as when I had a looked through what they were selling there wasn't a lot of old school stuff - just lots of figures. TBH, I think better bargains are to be had from people who don't have a clue what they're selling. >:)

My gaming hasn't moved on from when we met at the meet due to me having to rebook (I had visitors). Still, next BECMI game is on 2nd March so I can't wait. The characters are close to level 2 and recovering from a foray into the Caves of Chaos. Really enjoying it!

How's your game going?

Great stuff! I actually posted on the group asking for stuff and still got a good deal but you're right, the best buys are bargains for the reasons you mention! The problem is the stuff I want to own and play with/use is considered 'collectible' by people who want to bag it an keep it untouched!

ebay throws up some bargains occasionally. The charity shops in town also have a few treasures tucked away. I recently got the 2nd ed PHB and DMG for a total of £10 in Oxfam on Market Street.
