See the first post on page 1 for further game information.

King Arthur Pendragon
Chivalric Adventures in King Arthur's Britain.
When I get around to doing a 'Game Page' or something the link goes here.

** any other game systems we run can be listed here also **

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

Okay, Glory scores for Pendragon are as follows.
End of 486 AD:

Sir Charles = 1,581
Sir Ærindis = 1,385
Sir Rondar = 1,379
Sir Owen = 1,059

Sir Charles creeping ahead there mainly due to his Nuptial and Land-Holding Adventures, whilst Sir Owen missed most of the 485 action. :-(

Regardless: that will be another +1 for everyone to an Attribute/Skill - even above normal maximums - during the next Winter Phase.

Also a Jousting Lane, Falconry Mews and Guesthouse are buildable at Tadwick Manor. Not sure about the 'Bee Stadium' though.

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

Surely that should be Sir Charles Hand-Holding and Land-Holding Adventures.

I like "The Thread with No Name" well done on cutting to the chase.

An excerpt from a letter from Sir Charles to a close friend and inventor of 'jousting'.
"It's a shame about the bee stadium, 'the misses' wouldn't allow it; apparently it is not good for the kids and it is not good for the bees. Otherwise, let the games begin!"

Woop, second place. Just you wait til we have our falconry contest and I manage to convince the king to marry me. Then I'll have all the glory. ALL OF IT.

As for the bee stadium, I reckon that if we build it, they will come.

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

A little taster for something I'm planning to run if you will allow me after Chapter 1 of the Pendragon Tales.

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

No! Request - denied.
The Powerz of the GM Chair will be MINE FOREVER. evil

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

Looks, there is a biscuit over there!

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

Aha Cookies. Well why didn’t you just say so before?

So is this a 100% Cast-Iron Ding-Plated Guarantee that when Chapter 1 ends there will be a Red Dwarf adventure ready to go?

Do. Or do not. There is no ‘planning’.
- or so Yoda very nearly almost said.

*****

While we are on the subject of ‘upcoming attractions’ I have the following mostly ready, should they sound likely to float anyone’s RPG boat:

  • Arabian Nights - Scimitars, camels and exotic belly-dancers. Everything you need for desert-based adventuring. Probably start off with RuneQuest 6 and scale it back to Stormbringer if necessary.
  • Jade Regent – Pathfinder’s ‘Far East’ Adventure Path, converted over to Stormbringer. The PCs discover that they are the long-lost rightful heirs to a Japan-esque kingdom under the rule of an Evil Tyrant.
  • Buffy – Set in Nottingham. Mel has mentioned being in a witchy mood and Ding is an obvious choice as Watcher. (Tweed-clad academic, yes? :p)

And at some far future point in time I’d also quite like to take a gander (or any other avian of your choice) at some of these:

  • SPACE: 1889 – Interplanetary Steampunk.
  • Qin: The Warring States – Mystical swordplay in 200BC China.
  • Traveller – Old-school sci-fi malarkey.
  • Engine Heart – Robots survive the Apocalypse and suffer existential crisis without Humans to make toast for.
  • CthulhuTech – Big robots punching Giant Alien Monsters in the face. Or where a face would be if they weren’t like OMG GIANT ALIEN MONSTERS.

As well as the usual mix of Vikings, irradiated Wastelands and Katana-wielding magical schoolgirls.

Any takers?

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

Yeah, I'm part way through writing the first Episode. We'll be using the original cast, without Kochanski. If there are five PCs I will be making a hybrid character, which is Talkie Toaster attached to Bob the skutter.

Not sure how many sessions it will last, 1 or 2 at the moment. If people enjoy we can extend it.

From your game lists. I like the sound of Buffy. I also like the sound of CthulhuTech, it will be like playing a good version of Pacific Rim, with a better story and dialogue.

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

Sorry peeps, something has cropped up - cannot make it tonight.

... neutral

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

Sorry to hear that. All those still available, do you want to play something?

Edit: Looks like no mel either, maybe we will give this one a miss.

melociraptor posts: 86

Sorry folks, I can't make it tonight cus I'm off to Bloodstock! Also, I didn't realise all these posts were here because I forgot to subscribe to the thread. Duh! I'll read them properly and reply when I have a minute!

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

Mel, you suck, BLOOD!!! as in bloodstock, as in hahahaha, I'm hilarious.

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

Just to remind you that I won't be there this Thursday, hope you all have a good session.

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

afaik there may only be a couple of us there tonight, so boardgames or something will probably be on the menu.

I'd best make it a solo-friendly boardgame, just in case... neutral

melociraptor posts: 86

Hi Tim, I'm really sorry but I can't make it tonight either... I'm a bit snowed under with work and moving house as well - it's all a bit hectic! I hope to be back onto a more normal schedule soon and get back into it!

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

Well Vague was shut anyway, so that was that.

Ding: How are things going with Red Dwarf?
Would it be ready to go for next session?

Ding posts: 204 United Kingdom

I can make Red Dwarf ready for the next session. However, with Vague shutting we're going to have to agree on a new venue to play at.

melociraptor posts: 86

Is Vague shut for good?

Tim the Enchanter posts: 123

Yeah. Closes down end of this week.

The Gods of Pathfinder have punished us for our infidelity. :/
