The July 2013 Big Meet

Alan posts: 321 United Kingdom

Dear Members,

This is the discussion thread for our July 2013 Big Meet.

Obviously, you need to have a look at:

The July 2013 Social

The Afternoon Session

The Evening Session

You are:

A player.

  • Discuss the games on offer, what you need to prepare, anything really.
  • Ask kindly if someone else could run a game for you. Demand could create offer after all.

A GM

  • Describe the game you want to play here in addition to what is to be found on your game page.
  • Ask for advice on how to format your game page.
  • Ask the Organising Team member in charge of the event to put your game on the sign up page and linkify everything that needs be linkified, such as a particular game thread in the forum or your game page for instance. Members of the Organising Team should be able to modify the calendar event and tracker pages to include their own games, but I can do it for them too if need be.

A new member or a simple observer.

We do not bite, so post away.

And for all of the above, you can discuss transport issues here too.

This is the original post, people are invited to propose games as soon as possible to allow players some choice and time to make up their minds.

F.A.Q.?

There is a page of general information about The Big Meet yes.

Hint.

"No game, thus no play makes us pretty dull boys" (and girls), so do not be shy and run something!

Sticky.

This thread will remain as a "sticky" until the July Big Meet has passed, then it will become a normal thread again. After that, you will still be able to comment on the event, but entropy should ensure the thread's slow death and let the newer thread for the current Big Meet take centre stage.

Well in an effort to enliven the silence with metaphorical non silence - I shall be there. Usual threats of board games and some sort of rpg probably savage worlds zombie exodus style fun in toe.

Also Lucee will be with and has the interesting counter offer of some mind blasting Trail of Cthulhu on offer. For those unsure or aware this like Call of Cthulhu only using the very swish Gumshoe system instead of BRP. There is a scenario complete with pre-genned characters up for grabs and a sweet spot for the right number of players.

I'll be there too, as always.

I've been a bit busy, what with work, naff days, life, games and my nephew from Texas and his girl staying with me.

I am hoping that Rob-of-the-West, our long time cohort from Canada will be able to actually make a session in person. He too is visiting our strangely summery country.

I'll be there too. As usual I'll have "Condemned" with me for some fun prison capers in d&d3.

I'll also be bringing with me some white wolf goodness in the form of Mage: The Ascension.

Well I was waiting for the August Big Meet page to rear its head before posting, but oh well.

Was good fun all over the shop. Enjoyable mystery solving in CSI Armagada. Where we succeeded in over feeding a well pampered cat on cat treats that weren't exactly cat treats. And the villains nearly escaped!

Apparently insanity ensued in Cthulhu, but that's just a given!

Nice t' meet the Canadians, and we were even treated to a bit of a pubby bbq courtesy of the nice weather (and probably left over stock).

Definitely fancy trying some of Lee's Mage: The Accession, but i wont be there for the August Meet! I fear I'm going to miss out on the finally chapter of Demonwebs, cyberzombie fun in Exodus, and waking up a Mage in Ascension! Oh woe is me.
