Dear all,
Sad news from a couple of days ago: Kobold Quarterly is no more.
When I received the last issue earlier this month, it did not come with its renewal notice, but I had forgotten to check about it on my KQ online account. Then I received the EN World newsletter and read about it there.
This was a very nice little magazine that acted as a solid replacement for Dungeon Magazine and Dragon Magazine, both of which died in print, and in essence to some extent, when WotC told Paizo they were not renewing the licence.
As expected Wolfgang Baur explains that it was not really making a lot of money in the first place. He implies other changes in his personal life - good apparently - that have forced him to drop it.
