I have been informed that there is a planned maintenance event which may involve reduced or interrupted service for this website. It is scheduled for 10th November 2012 starting at approximately 4pm our time and may take as long as 4 hours.
History tells me that this probably will not impact us at all, but the hosting company is always very good at forewarning potential interruptions. The event actually only involves the part of their infrastructure that points to the data, not the data itself. (I could have said it in the technical terms they sent it to me, but I translated it into human language.)
The usual upshot of this kind of work is that there is a short delay in finding the website. A delay so short that you may not notice, even if we are affected.
