I think we broke some kind of a record.
It had become tradition that stragglers stay to see the fire re-lit for Sunday Brunch.
This year, the last folks went home after 20:00 on Sunday. (And then I think it might have only been because most folks had to work on Monday.)
Many rounds of games were played. Folks arrived on the Sunday, knowing full well we were still in full swing.
On Saturday.
Meat products were consumed, along with some robust cheeses.
Two future players were given most of the attention they appeared to crave.
Welcome Michael and Leon, with Mum Leah in attendance. 11 weeks old is a bit early to be roleplaying, but Leon seems to have got the gist of offensive conjuration. Michael has already mastered ranged vomit attack. (Don't ask, you really don't need more details.)
Braggart was played. A game where a French accent was not compulsory. (Thanks to Laurent & Tendai for that round of fun.
Stoner Fluxx was played, with all the illegal cards removed.
Pandemic was played: with a win, the likes of which will go down in history. The game then gave us two re-matches, and showed us who was boss in no uncertain terms by handing us our arses on a plate.
The flying ants made a brief, half hearted appearance.
On Sunday.
Lots more meat products were consumed. The cheeses were severely depleted in a concerted attack on multiple fronts.
Stoner Fluxx had another outing or two.
En Guarde (A game where the fake French accent is almost compulsory.) saw a gentlemanly game of sword fighting. Mainly sword fighting, and mainly gentlemanly, but neither exclusively.
T'was a great weekend of BBQ goodness. See you all again next year.
