Nottingham Beginners Group

greatzombieron posts: 28 United Kingdom

Hey Everybody! I'm looking to get an idea of who would be
interested if i started running some Roleplaying games
during the odd weekday evening.
I'm Hoping to get a good group together,
and try out a few different systems to see what we
like. I'm calling it the beginners group since i'm quite
new to the whole thing, but veteran players are
welcome too if they want to play.

I'm hoping to run:
Pathfinder (I've got a couple seasons of their adventures)
Shadowrun
Deadlands
Warhammer 40k RPG's

And perhaps more! Post if you're interested, and we'll
try to arrange a day. I was thinking wednesday Evenings at
Vague connections.

ron, there is a group who already meets at that location on that day and also that is the day that the yugioh meets there. as a group we generally cant start till 7:30 - 8ish due to the card gaming going on so it might be better to look at another day

T'was only a suggestion. Like i said, we would find something good for everyone.

Ahoy! Sounds like quite a caper. biggrin

Yes I am up for playing anything not too (a) evil, (b) depressing or (c) teen-angst-y.

id be up for this as looking for a regular group. Vague is perfect but thursdays is better for me than weds. Could do weds but may miss the odd one etc. Ive loads of 1st ed WFRP and wouldnt mind running the odd adventure but prefer not a great fan of dm'ing so most of the stuff ive got going back 20 yrs ive not really got to play:p. love shadowrun had a quick go of 40k and it was ok but think traveller is prob better from a rpg point of view, love cthullu too. Basically the group is what makes it anyhow.

greatzombieron posts: 28 United Kingdom

@Tim: I'd Love you have you, tim! Perhaps we could poach one or two more players from Tsar for other roleplay shenanigans. :3

@Garetgax : The more the merrier! I'd be Dm'ing most of the time ( since i love doing it), but we'd love to have you.

Thursdays is probably not good though, since i'm already in a game every other thursday.

Ron, are you suggesting you want a chance to try and kill a charicter of mine as many times as I've (accidently evil ) killed yours in Tsar?

greatzombieron posts: 28 United Kingdom

Of course not, Lord Nick. (Please dont kill me again)
Although you're welcome if you like to play! :3

cool just a case of sorting a day out then or could do the alternate thursday? Ill be at the meet up tomorrow if you want to chat etc.

greatzombieron posts: 28 United Kingdom

after speaking with Nick at our game today, would it be cool with everyone if we run alternate Saturday afternoons, or Friday evenings?

Alternate Saturdays are best for me.

alternate sats would be a prob for me as I normally airsoft on sats or I'm away with 350 stuff and fri evenings wont be good either as a lot of my weekends im away for the whole weekend etc. If its in the week great if not have fun guys.

Hi. I've lost track of how many players you have right now, but if you have one more space then count me in please :-D
Apart from playing I'd love to run a game or two, and can add World Of Darkness (preferably Mage and Vampire, the Classic Edition) and CyberPunk 2020.

I'm available Fridays (preferably) and Saturdays (less preferably, but still do :-D)

Arkenar posts: 12 United Kingdom

I would also be interested in this if there are any spaces,

pretty much any day except thursday evenings and sundays i would be available

greatzombieron posts: 28 United Kingdom

Alright. I'll be running a game on Saturday 28th 2-8ish.(might be slightly later, due to signing legal stuff for my new flat)

I'll be doing the first adventure from "Curse of the Crimson throne" adventure path.
Due to size limits, i'm calling this our group-

Harper
Arkenar
Senemedar
Alan & Maz

Hope to see you all there. :-D

Ron,

From talking to Ginga today, he's going to be running the PFS game on the 28th. So I think both you and I will be double booked that day.

So I'd guess the first session will be the Saturday after (4th August).

I am going to be away the weekend of4th/5th August, so I'll not be able to be there then.

greatzombieron posts: 28 United Kingdom

Due to being Double booked (as ginga's session at the shop has been delayed)
I'm instead doing the session on the Thursday 26th, @ Vague. 6.00pm till whenever ginga kicks us out.

Since some people cannot attend, all are now welcome if they can make it.

senemedar posts: 19 Poland

Yeah, I'll be there around 6pm, may be a bit late though - overtime at work and stuff :/
Is there a car park on the Vague place?

senemedar posts: 19 Poland

What are we playing in the first place, 'cause I somehow missed this bit :-D

I believe it's Pathfinder system, and the Curse of the Crimson Thrown adventure path.

Or at least I think it is... Ron could you confirm?

senemedar posts: 19 Poland

Great! I don't know this one and be more than happy to see what is all about! :-)
