I'm starting a new campaign up. In theory:

Weekly
Monday Evening - 19:00 onwards, arrive pre fed

I've got 3 players at present, so there is space for another 1 or 2 if you are looking for a game.

I'm looking for a certain amount of dedication - I want people who will make it to most sessions.

The setting is loosely inspired by Dark Heresy in so far as it is a sci fi universe and the group work for an inquisition like organisation hunting down threats hiding within. The universe itself is borrowing from the card game Race For The Galaxy instead of the 40k universe so it is not quite so bleak. If none of that means anything to you, think MI5/MI6.... in SPACE! with odes flavours inspired from films like star wars and tv shows like Babylon 5. Pretty much I'm just stealing ideas for a feintly generic sci fi setting from anywhere I can to make my life easy. cool

Rules system is ORE (One Roll Engine) with some tweaks to my taste, with characters gaining their inspiration from Dark Heresy's random roll tables. At least for the first few sessions. If I don't like I might well tweak further or drop the system and try out another one instead. Think of it as a perk of playing with a games designer as your gm.

The first characters have been made and the first session is pencilled in for Monday the 20th of February assuming I can get some bits tidied up before then.

Hello folks, further to my post above that campaign is winding to a close, I'm not sure how soon I'll be done with it but I should think another 1-4 sessions and we'll hit the spot where I plan to leave it.

So I'll be inflicting something new on the group in the near future, probably advanced fighting fantasy for something nice and light to keep us going for the forseeable.

Consequently anyone looking for a game there is an ideal jumping on point looming - not that you need wait for that to come along but it is certainly an opportune time. If you are interested in joining us let me know and I'll happily share some more details. I've only got 3 players at present, I don't like too large of a group but I would certainly take another 2 maybe 3 players.

Oh and start time has been pushed back to 19:30 to give me a bit more of a chance to get home and organised before people show up.

The campaign wrapped up last night, next week we will be making brand spanking new characters for some rather old school Advanced Fighting Fantasy. Albeit with whatever spin/s I put on it.

The time draws near that I shall be losing a player for a while (a good couple of months while new life is brought into the world, quite a good excuse for absence as they go) which will take my humble band of desperate dice rollers down to only 2 players.

Which can work but I'm not especially keen on. So I'd really like another player or two to join us in the coming weeks to keep things simmering on a gentle heat.

What we do in terms of the campaign we are part way through at present is currently under discussion but the gaming will continue in one form or another and however that happens adding new characters in should be easy enough.

So if you or someone you know might be interested, point them in my direction.

Once more a campaign arc is concluded and we shall be moving on to something new. It looks like I'll be getting some new players too. Though even then I could still maybe fit another player in if someone out there is interested.
