Just got back from the bookshop "the works" in leicester where I slipped, fell and bought 9 new board games. Some well known and well rated on boardgamegeek.com title in there too and all being sold at the princely sum of £7.99. For anyone wanting to do some homework first I picked up:
Caylus: Magna Carter
Highland Clans
Strozzi
Maori
Oregon
Notre Dame
Aqua Romana
Ys
There were a few other titles there too. So anyone with a burning need to shuffle cubes in the name of gaining victory points / prestige / money, engaging in bidding, worker placement, tile drawing and building networks/gardens/civilisations/castles etc could do far worse than getting themselves down there.
Doubt you'll need to rush though, I was there for a while and it seem the average the works customer is unsurprisingly enough not the target market for eurogames... not one other person so much as picked up a box while I was there.
