Nottingham Venue

Hi all,

I have just taken over The Hole In The Wall in central Nottingham. I am an ex-gamer who's more than happy for it to be used for meets, table top or even LARP.

To be honest wouldn't mind getting back into a bit of role-playing (CoC, Vampire and Warhammer fantasy being my faves from what i can recall).

Hello,

I have just remembered that nobody has said thank you for the offer yet, so here you go.smile

While I am currently gaming and running games at Vague Connections it is indeed always good to know of another available venue in Nottingham city-centre.

If you want to become "official sponsor" - and appear on the left hand-side of the website - since you are offering a place to play, you can always contact Len.

Laurent,

That's an interesting thought. Our 'Sponsors' are all gaming-sales related, (except for Handmade Software which may not exist soon. cry) If we open the door to a pub/venue then we have several, not least of which must be the Brunswick, that will also have to be approached.

The only 'Sponsor' which truly sponsors us, as in pays for this site, is Handmade Software. My health issues have basically meant it is winding down. I have had to put all my 'fit' time into the job that pays my wages. Handmade Software only ever paid for my Internet Access, and for this site (and the meetupspit› group before it, at times.)

The various pubs we use all get their share of revenue from the custom we bring and in return provide a no-cost venue. Would they benefit at all from advertising to our limited group? Games shops have a very targeted audience, but I am sure pubs attract lots more non-gamers than gamers. That said, we certainly spark interest at the Jack O' Lantern on Thursday nights.

Jaynotts,

As mentioned by Ian_t while at Vague Connections the other day, the location of The Hole In The Wall could be suitable to students from Nottingham Trent. You could try to contact their student union, they should have an RPG society over there.

To be fair, The Hole In The Wall is a bit out of the way for me and I guess also for the people who generally play at Vague Connections. Still, Vague Connections is closed on Tuesdays...

Laurent,
