Players wanted - Nottingham

Hi folks,

We are back on the look for a new player or two. John has been a very successful addition from the EMrpg in the past.

The current campaign is the culmination of 7 years of AD&D 1st/2nd ed gaming. Should take another 6 months to a year to finish off - yes we move slowly. Well developed characters to pick up based in TSR's al qadim setting.

What we play after that is open to the group as I intend to step back from GMing except for some Wild West adventures on an occasional basis.

The 5 person group is based at my house and we usually play on a Thursday or sometimes Wednesdays. You can find us in the Bramcote area of Nottingham, just a few minutes from J25, dead easy directions.

Contact me though a PM.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Ham

EDIT: See post below. Contact Ham by clicking on his username in the post then send him a personal message (PM)

Ham,

You should not put your mobile number in a post that belongs to a PUBLIC forum.

To protect your privacy I have edited your post. You should ask people to send you a PM, then give them your number, thus limit the number of potential weirdoes to 118 (119 members minus you).

If you really meant to make it public, edit your post again and accept my apologies for meddling.

Thanks Laurent, will do, though it's not my mobile and all calls are screened through the message service. However, on second thoughts there's no need to have to sift the trolls from the genuine!

Thanks
Ham

He may be a meddling Frenchman, eek but he's quite right. cool A post in the members only forum might protect you a little more, but even so, putting phone numbers on the internet is perhaps not the best way to attract contacts. Google trawls these pages, and lets all the axe-murderers have your number.

Anyone who sees the post will have access to PM you, then you can choose to let them have your number. Good luck with your search.

Len

Ham,

Considering I made the mistake once to give my mobile number away to a bank handling a store card then lived to suffer from all "trusted third party companies" that tried to sell me all sort of crap... I tend to see mobile numbers as more delicate than I used to. smile

Good luck with the recruitment.

I will mention your post at Vague Connections on Wednesday. 1st and 2nd Edition gamers ask about games every now and then at the shop but find it hard to find any to join.

Thanks guys for the advice and will follow it, though have to say I work in an inner city school so have no problem dealing with the most interesting of people and at 6'6" and 21 stone chase away axe murderers! And if that doesn't work I'm dead quick at a get away.

Ham
