Pathfinder Organised Play Society

Having just registered the store for the Pathfinder Organised Play Society (or Organized for those across the pond), I was wondering who would be interested in joining this small elite of gamers. It's a fairly simple idea, you build a first level character using standard point buy, you get 150gp of tat to lug around and every game you gain prestige and xp. Xp buys levels and prestige buys equipment and boosts for in game rolls and tests.

If you want to join in feel free to message on here. There will be a small cost for those playing to cover the costs of the adventures (about 2 quid an adventure) but games last for 5 hours or so.

If you are interested in playing contact Vague Connections.

Also this wont be starting until next year so be prepared and get creating!!!

Andrew,

I have taken the liberty of linkifying your post. Press "edit" on your post to discover the magical coding expressions.

Due to ongoing commitments, like Rise of the Runelords, The Witchwar Legacy and Kingmaker where I play; I should at best register a cautious interest for this. There is also the potential Legacy of Fire campaign from Ian that could happen in the New Year. Two years ago I would never have thought there could be too much Pathfinder going around! smile

Don't worry Laurent, one day a cure will be found.

Sounds interesting, but it would depend on what day and how often you planned to run it.

More Planning has taken place since the last post, and some actual reading of rules (as if real gamers would ever read a full rule book, Pish!) I've cautiously decided on a starting date of 15th of Jan. If there is anyone still interested either message me or pop in the store for a chat. l've already got one new convert to the "joys of gaming" an he's looking forward to the whole experience. So everyone get ready for a whole mess to decend on Golarion and mess it up for those of us playing "Properly"

Well I'm interested in playing. Although I think you already know that! cool

Will have to see about reading the Pathfinder organised players guide, which I think I have on PDF somewhere.

Last chance folks, Gaming is starting on Saturday at 14-00 til 18-00 or a little long should it run on.

Get your characters preped and ready and make sure to register you characetr on the Paizo Web site or no goodies for you...

Otherwise there are several spare characters for people to join in with but there is a max play size of 6 people so if you turn up last or don't put your name down then no surprizes you won't be able to play until the next one

The Paizo guide to the Pathfinder Organised Play can be found here for free.

Is it true Vague Connections is the ONLY store in the UK offering this?

That sounds like quite a coup. biggrin

Len

Len,

The owner was also surprised when Paizo told him so.

I knew they had a couple of "Venture Captains" in the UK, i.e. guys who collected the admin work for the Pathfinder Society thing; but as it turned out, they were only running at conventions. So, yep, it seems like this is the first and so far only registered shop in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to do it.

Can't make this one, as I'm having a slightly late christmas with my flat mates. I'm thinking of generating a double hard shape shifting druid with animal companion (I mean I've got the beastiary now). Will have to keep an eye on things.

Right-o chaps about that time again.

After the success of the first adventure (only one near miss from a paladin praying on his armour to save him) we will be running another event in 2 weeks. the second part of the mystical adventure of the devil you know part II

Only issue forgot to pick up Matt's Pathfinder number. So if Matt's on here put up your number so i can get hold of it, message the shop, txt me or facebook it to me as well. Cheers!

How many spaces are left on the table?

good luck with this....i have a few PFS characters from some time back (2nd -7th lvl) and still play it from time to time. The modules are nearly always well written, though the faction bits get in the way sometimes I find...people forget they are pathfinders first, reps of their nation 2nd!!

will keep a look out on this thread for future opportunities

there are still spaces available but only the one maybe 2 if some one fails to turn up...

It went well if people have got characters from past PFS then they are more than welcome to play - " i have a few PFS characters from some time back (2nd -7th lvl) " it just you might be slightly better kitted out than the n00bs starting out.

Going well completly reported and things went well bar the Spy (rogue arch-type alternative from APG) natural 20 diplomacy check on unfriendly thugs vs natural 2 on sense motive to resist the buy off scheme with +4 for not really wanting to betray their employers. so 27 vs 5 yeah they really wanted to be friendly with the players, a little too friendly i think...

The second thrilling installment of the Devil you Know Part II is this saturday from 2.

Laurent posts: 1029 United Kingdom

Andrew,

Depending on demand, I could switch to running a scenario every now and then.

Need to finish the Witchwar Legacy first though. smile
