Dear Members,
I am announcing a new D&D/Pathfinder RPG game to start on Saturday November 20th, 2010 at Vague Connections in Nottingham.
To keep with the idea of the "Saturday game" not being a campaign, I propose to run The Witchwar Legacy, which is a high level (LV17) game. For those familiar with the Pathfinder Chronicles Setting, the adventure is set in Irrisen in the world of Golarion.
Because of its high level, the game is obviously aimed at players already familiar with the Pathfinder RPG system or at least D&D Third Edition (3.0/3.5).
The - now fortnightly - Saturday afternoon games are aimed at attracting players outside my gaming group ... although the regulars are always welcome . I also try to have these games as non-standard, for instance we are about to finish River into Darkness which was an Advanced Player's Handbook classes only game. Players are encouraged to play classes they would not usually play in a campaign. Every adventure is by definition a one-off and does not extend to campaign mode.
Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook classes and prestige classes only. No magic item or equipment costing more than half the expected wealth per level allotment. No fancy item not found in the core rulebook, avoid min-maxing.
