The game is designed to allow easy drop-in/drop-out of PCs. Apart from a core group of regulars, the party composition is usually very fluid.
Party level: LV5.
Adventure background:
Falcon Hollow is a frontier town, not very friendly, a collection of poor souls exploited by the greedy local representative of the Lumber Consortium. The party made heroes of themselves by saving the town from a nasty disease. Then, five local children went missing, one of them the son of Gavel Thuldrin Kreed. Kreed made them an offer they could not refuse for them to find his kid. As it turns out the Kobold Merlokrep, the self-proclaimed "Dragon King of the Truescale Tribe" needed young "pink-skins" for some ritual sacrifice.
Merlokrep is no more, his crown now belongs to the party.
The party has had a quick "Return to the Old Dwarven Monastery" foray before at long last... spending the monetary rewards, as well as some other rewards. As it happens a band of carnies are coming to town. This might lighten up the mood, especially since Winter has come pretty early to Falcon's Hollow this year... but it of course does not as the carnival turns VERY deadly for the locals. The PCs helped by a benevolent Fey Queen are under the influence of a potent elixir that allows them to see through the deadly illusions.
Forthcoming session:
Our heroes are battling evil Fey creatures and disrupting some very weird carnival attractions.
Setting:
The world of Golarion ("Pathfinder Chronicles") from Paizo publishing. More precisely the Darkmoon Vale in the Republic of Andoran.
