Helibobs Fudmil Minninig Lumpen Punken Turbiddle Waywocket

Helibobs Waywocket (for short) Punken to her friends >Nickname Mel Ody
Age 156 (about middle age for a gnome)
Height 3’ 2”
Mid-tan skin with mousy hair and ice blue eyes (from her Turbiddle family line)

Helibobs Waywocket is a 3rd generation Gnome living in the Country of Neige. It is family knowledge that her Grandfather Bobbynock Fudto Hedmut Roonger Hodgewick Lumpen Turbiddle travelled with a band of musicians and artisans from the Homeland in the South some 730 years ago, before the ‘Devestation’. The travelling band moved from town to town along the Eastern coastline telling popular stories, playing music and generally entertaining local crowds. Business was always good and Bobbywick loved the life.

In that same party was a young female Gnome whom Grandfather later married called Carawick Ningal Ellydo Finbell Punken Hedbur Waywocket. Nanna Waywocket was an accomplished songstress and granpa Turbiddle fell very much in love. They continued to travel with the band for sometime until Nanna fell pregnant. Sadly, but with some excitement about their first child, they decided to settle in the City of Neige where the performers had stopped to over-winter. Over time Bobbynock set up a workshop in the city and spent his days making musical instruments whilst Carawick taught the glorious arts of music to the local gentry.

Their renoun as talented artisans grew throughout Neige and they often performed together in the city’s theatres and at great banquets. Carawick finally gave up singing when she fell pregnant with her eighth child.

It was Bobbynock and Carawick’s sixth child; Caramip Helipen Glimnor Mibbito Ningal Turbiddle Waywocket, who was Helibobs mother. Caramip married a local Jeweler Cobbmottin Dimbbert Nerbiddle Olffmut Wimkor Hedmip Fudmil. Life for the young couple was wonderful in the early years of their marriage.
Caramip, who had inherited her mother’s singing voice performed and played her father’s instruments and worked in the family’s now busy music shop, whilst Cobbmottin worked in his father’s jewellery shop.

However, Cobbmottin was rather a dreamer and had always harboured a fascination for the history of the old Homeland and the stories that were told about it, particularly the
stories of the ‘City of Diamonds’. Increasingly he would seek out gems and precious stones that had purportedly come from the south and the foothills of the Spina Armagada. To the disgust and annoyance of his father, Cobbmottin started to trade with Halflings in a bid to feed his fascination. Caramip did her best to try and convince him that his recklessness was effecting the family’s reputation but Cobbmottin would pay no heed and only months after Helibobs was born, he said goodbye to his family and set off south with a party of adventurers and miners to, as he said, ‘make his fortune and bring back the most glorious gems ever seen in Neige.’ Suffice to say, he never returned and Caramip was left to bring up Helibobs alone.

Helibobs Fudmil Minninig Lumpen Punken Turbiddle Waywocket, bares little resemblance to her wayward father. She has the ice blue eyes of the Waywocket Clan and the jovial personality of the Tubiddle’s. She inherited not only her mother’s singing talent but her grandfather’s penchant for all things instrumental. But her interests strayed much further than that. As she grew up she discovered a fascination for all things mechanical as well as musical. As her granpa’s almost constant companion she learnt the arts of engineering and worked along side him to create new and ever-more complex instruments.

When she reached adult-hood she decided to set out on her own - much to the distress of her mother who begged her not to go fearing for her the same fate as her father. Helibobs travelled north-west for some time until reaching the city of Heureuxville. Once there, full of youth and high ideals she successfully married her two loves into a lucrative business; ‘Waywocket’s Wonderous Wind Resonator’s’. However, due to a quirk of fate - and a missed generation - she also inherited her grandfather’s short tongue and so everyone in Heureuxville knows the shop as ‘Waywocket’s Wonderous Wind Wesonator’s’.

Her famous (w)esonator’s are build with such precision and complexity that even at her young age she is considered amongst the small Gnome population of Heureuxville to be a true artist. Gnome’s come from all over just to stand at the shop window admiring the wondrous instruments – few can afford them, but Helibobs, being the good Gnome she is, loves to impress and befuddle them with impromptu demonstrations on the doorstep and detailed explanations of their operation, which even she embellishes at times – well she wouldn’t be a Gnome if she didn’t!

Continuing her families theatrical line she can be regularly found at the City Theatre performing – however this has be come less frequent since the Coup. Often, to make ends meet, she will be found playing, singing and performing for the clientele of the local taverns and hostels. The money isn’t that good, but as she says “what a Gnome has is (w)iches enough.”

Due to the stigma of her missing father she has never married even though she has had many proposals. Now in her middle-age she is satisfactorily a spinster but does have a ‘friend’ with whom she is often seen and with whom she plays with regularly – in a fully professional sense of course!.

As much as she would not care to admit it she has inherited one of her father’s traits and is a notorious dreamer at times. She loves to hear stories of adventure and valour and will sit for hours listening to the storytellers in the City market place.
But she equally loves stories of love and romance and likes to compose songs with equal amounts of both.

She is – as with most Gnomes – a happy soul, always willing to help and have fun at the same time. As there are very few Gnomes in the city she makes a point of seeking out those that visit the City to hear the latest news and gossip from further afield.

Having been brought up in the company of Humans she is generally tolerant of them although she thinks they could wash more often. Hobgoblins however are another matter, ‘Pah!’ being her general comment. However, times being difficult she has gotten used to being asked to sing Hobgoblin Battle songs from drunken grunts in the taverns.

Even under the occupation Helibobs life has changed little and she continues to be a stalwart of the Gnome community of Heureuxville
