Bandaluthia 63

The boat hit the water with a jolt, waking the Animals up. It glided into shore. Tyler, Coolio, Gannon, Orc, Shaniqua and Rätsel stepped out. Now, to find Pandora and her group. Which direction, where had the Animals landed on the map?

The Animals pressed on towards the forest. On stepping into the forest they shrunk to a tiny size and encountered small sylvan creatures with wings. The pixies questioned the party about who they were and what they wanted. The Animals explained that they were seeking another group, who were trying to blow up the monuments. This agitated the pixies, who sent for a half-elf named Tanis.

The half-elf bard (as it transpired) was disturbed by the Animals’ story. It seemed he was sympathetic to their goal and teleported them immediately to the nearest monument, manifest as a great stone sword. There they waited, though not for long.

Meanwhile, Jean-Luc, Freda, Milo, Pandora, Kharkin and Sylvie pressed on to the third monument. It began to rise above them like a great stone phallus. Sylvie shuddered, but continued scouting ahead. She crept to the edge of the clearing and saw another group there already. Returning to her party she relayed what she had seen.

Shaniqua saw a movement – was it a figure with red hair. She crept after the creature, to ascertain whether it was friend or foe.

Jean-Luc, Freda, Milo, Pandora, Kharkin, Sylvie and the strange woman they had encountered at the second monument discussed the destruction of the third monument. ‘Let me do it’ asked the stranger. ‘I move quieter than any of you.’ The party decided on a distraction. Pandora took the explosives and began to work her way round to the back of the monument.

As Pandora moved she came face-to-face with an elf, a rogue by the looks of her. The elf fell, the strange woman from the previous monument behind her, blade in hand. Shouts were raised, the two groups converged, and Rätsel and Pandora stood facing each other. Fighting was stayed. The wizard explained the situation and the two parties looked to secure the explosives and the monument. The stranger from the dragon monument was nowhere to be seen, and explosives were missing.

The search became frantic. Eventually, the bombs were spotted, forty feet up the monument. They were adhered to the stone sword magically. After further discussion Rätsel dispelled the magic attaching them to the rock, and the magical explosives fell. The explosion as they hit the ground shook the air and the monument fell. When the dust settled, the gravity of the situation dawned on the group. They met, once more, with Tanis. He took the strange woman away. He returned, momentarily, and cast a magical slumber upon the less-experienced group.

Noise began to rumble in the forest about the party. Minotaurs, and large ones, appeared. Now this was something the Animals could cope with. Gannon shimmered, his body displaced by an illusion. Orc fought another minotaur, with Coolio, while a shaman appeared behind them. Tyler and Shaniqua battled the shaman, supported by unerring scorching rays cast be the Tiefling. The battle was soon over. Tanis returned once more, and offered to teleport the group back to their ship. The group containing Jean-Luc, Freda, Milo, Pandora, Kharkin and Sylvie remained behind, to perform a task for Tanis in recompense for their transgression.
