Bandaluthia Session 47
Bandaluthia Session 47
The party – comprising Barry, Ellodee, Jacob, Rätsel, Ti Ying and Lupa – materialised on the edge of the wood. They felt that Sinn’s little joke was far from funny as they had nothing but their weapons on them. On the shimmering horizon they could see a Jongelese city and, needing provisions, they set of in its direction.
Once inside the city they were surrounded by children – beggars and thieves – who tried to get what they could. There was valuable equipment to lose, so the Animals withdrew. With more subtlety Ellodee returned to the City, charmed a trader, obtained tents, rations a camel and his unwanted admiration. At least, now, they were equipped.
After tying the trader to the back of the camel the party headed into the Elven woods, with the tall otherworldly trees soaring above them. As they pressed on deeper into the trees they became aware that they were being followed. They continued on, anxious to do nothing which would offend the likely trackers. Eventually they stopped, and were surrounded. In no uncertain terms the Elven ranger who confronted them made clear they were not welcome. When the party refused to leave they were taken to the Elven city, rising high above the ground, and set in the trees. The head of the Elves, a wizard by the looks of him, agreed that they would help the Animals find the Well, on the proviso they successfully complete a task. Rätsel, Jacob and Barry engaged in a test of skill. Barry it was who was tasked with the final element, and he passed the task.
Led by the ranger, the party trekked for three days, deeper into the forest. They encountered some enemies – an alternate group, hired by the NTG, who they battled and killed. Shortly thereafter they found the well. Ti Ying descended and recovered the key, before Rätsel returned them to Bandaluthia, courtesy of his judicious use of a Greater Teleport scroll.
Now, with two keys, the party were ahead of the game.
