Freddie Carver introduces himself to the new landlords of 22 Acacia Ave, and offers them all full membership of the Guild. Hellhound is unavailable as he has gone off training with Gryff, but the other 4 members of the Animals go to the Satyr to see their new Guild privileged lounge. The four are amazed at the magic to get into the lounge, and find that it covers a whole underground area of the pub upstairs. They start to go through contracts to help pay for the renovations to their new house. A startled Coolio recognises that Brother Vinganca who comes over to the group, gives them a contract from off the wall and tells Coolio that he must do this task and it will help find his baby sister who had been taken the night before. A child trafficking ring was to be taken down. The Animals agree a 25.000gp contract with added bonuses which could increase to 50.000 should the death toll rise from 1 to 6.
Clues from the ‘Abdullah’ warehouse lead the Animals to look for a Captain Jaker in The Mako Inn on the North Docks. With all the subtly of 2 sledge hammers and a breeze block, the Animals locate a guy who answered the call of the barmaid when Capt. Jaker was asked for. The man tried to get Coolio outside alone, but Doogle would have none of it and followed. Shaniqua had gone to check out back for possible escape routes, and so she was surprised to see to men hid near the bins in an alleyway. Out came the man who Coolio thought to be Capt. Jaker and Coolio with Doogle in tow. Shaniqua started to signal to the halflings, but was cut off by a crossbow bolt into her chest, and then another into her stomach. Shaniqua then operated her newly acquired shield ring. Doogle, ever the guy for a fight ran out, brandishing his mighty sword and cut off the first crossbow mans arm. He then disembowelled the second guy all but killing him. Bob ran back through the pub, almost knocking, the ever late to a fight, Ratsel over. Ratsel, suspicions aroused sent Affe to follow. Coolio ran to Shaniqua and cured her enough for the pain to be much lessened. They then questioned the one armed man about ‘Captain Jaker’ they found out that his name was Bob. Shaniqua then slit the two guys throats “Vandrel Style”
Affe came back and led the group to The Riggers, another Inn in the North Docks. Ratsel went in magically disguised as a halforc sailor while Doogle went in disguised as a person who did not belong in the North Docks. Doogle started a fight with the man Bob was talking too but this time had it finished by Ratsel, as Doogle was thrown out by two bouncers. The other evictee was thrown out of the other door. Ratsel had magic missiled Bob to unconsciousness. Then told everyone that his friend was drunk and led him off. With unconscious Bob, the Animals got a taxi back to 22 Acacia Ave. Here they took Bob straight into the cellar, tied him up and started to question him. Bob turned out to be surprisingly cool to this treatment and bargained his way out of torture. The flip side to the bargain was that he would talk. Bob spilled the beans. The people who are in on the child trafficking are indeed the guys on the contract. The children would be put on board a ship called the ‘Arch Angel’ and that a chap called Nilross or ‘Ross’ had the pseudonym of Capt. Jaker. The Children would be loaded up at night, and the ship would leave by dawn the next day.

Coolio had less than 12 hours to rescue his sister before the ship set sail.

Can the Animals put thought into the next 12 hours and pull off a child rescue mission, or will swords be the answer?
