Sinta's Letters

Sinta,
I write a brief note to you as we prepare to leave on our mission. I thought the information I have on my
patron, Belogard Urnstwill would be of interest and use to you as you train the Eludilim Nessa. Peurto Verde itself is a strange place, many different races and people, not all of such standing as the Eludilim Quessir. Belogard summoned myself and three other Cuernos into his office and gave us a choice of service within the shipping industries, to undertake a special task or to decline the Cuerno. Looking at the state of many sailors in the port and the skill set of our group we decided to take the mission.

We are tasked to travel to the west coast and obtain irrefutable proof that we have been. We must then travel
to Neige in order to set up trade treaties with the Tari. I am honoured to have such an integral task to the Mercenties. There is more to our task, but we I will speak of that once I return. The entire mission is not exactly
straightforward and I worry we are small fish caught in a much larger plan we are unaware of.

I am travelling with three other Cuernos, a young Quessir Taur'ohtar, Luthien who seems rather quiet but nice enough, I am sure he will be of some use, a Quessir and an Elandili Istar Woodstrike and Astra both of whom
seem a little odd in their own ways. Astra I think is more an Ita'istar whereas Woodstrike does not appear to understand his own power.

I am a little anxious in regard to our chances of survival if caught in a battle, although the ranger may be able to hold his own in combat I cannot tell as of yet, and the mages seem to be scared of their own shadows at present. Our strength lies in what you and the others have taught me, I hope to do you all proud.

We are staying in the Peurto Verde library over night where Astra has lived for years, he is speaking with the Quessir that run the place in length about the journey ahead, I hope to get this letter sent to you through them.

Sinta,
Nae saian luume'
Since last I wrote, our party has grown some what. No doubt if you have recently spoken to Megilar or my ontaro you will know of the Rah'edan that we happened upon, however we have also recently picked up a rather strange girl. Her name is Ammelath, and when we met her I was sure I saw fire in her eyes, not in any
poetic sense, but real fire. But as soon as I had focused my eyes it had gone again. She appears Edan in every other sense, not quite as honest as some; I think she was in fact scouting out a wealthy Peredhils property in order to steal from him, A Cam'wethrin. In all other respects I think we could be friends, I have a great admiration for someone with her talents, as long as she maintains a balance between her desires and the appropriate behaviour for the situation.

I have some more information on the current situation in Cuidad Verde for you to pass onto the Eludilim Nessa. There seems to be a power shift in the undercurrents within the Mercenties at present. Not all is as it once was here, and not all is as it seems either. You need to prepare the Nessa for the possibility of real battle in the guards and for the prospect of being a rather small pawn in a larger feud if they take any special missions. This is what I fear we have become.

We are about to embark on a mission to spy on a member of the council, and it all does not sit easily with me.

Mellonamin,
My deepest apologies for the length of time since my last letter to you. Hopefully you have been keeping up with the news through Megilar and the others.

We spent several weeks in Cuidad Verde gathering information first for Belogard and then Silindu. We were also summoned in to see Tinwen, who appears to be at his worst, only the Quessir were summoned, and not
even Astra. Tiran-Gal appears to be on the verge of taking his place. These meetings and missions confirmed the guarded feelings I expressed in my earlier letter. We are caught in the middle of something we do not yet fully understand or appreciate I am sure of it. Though I have not mentioned any of this to Atar and Atara, they would only worry that I was in above my head.

We have also added another strange being to our midst. He looks a lot like a small ogre, that is when we can see him at all. I am not sure that I like him, although I owe him my life, as he prevented us from being discovered by a group of guards during one of our recent missions. His knowledge also seems vast, although he is not a warm companion. Over the weeks though he has proved a great Ohtar, bringing down foes with just his fists at times.

We have made our way through the pass and our now residing in a town known as Two Rivers. We are
heading to the coast from here and then North to Neige. The Eludilim Nessa may wish to research different races more than I ever did; we are encountering foreign races almost weekly. Many of the port towns are thriving with diversity. So far I am in the presence of an Ogre, Quessir, an Elandili, An Edan and A Rah'edan. He have fought giants, goblins and a Glamhoth. He have encountered Darphalin here too, a sort of fish like race, rather muscular and very intimidating.
